Digital Designer

At Artemis Ward, visual design is an integral facet of brand storytelling and digital experiences. We are looking for a talented, mid-level designer who can move seamlessly from concept to execution, designing and producing innovative visual packages, brand systems, dynamic content and digital platforms for clients across industries. You have a strong creative sensibility and love the challenge of pushing into new territory. Core Responsibilities

• Work closely within the creative team to execute visual design across platforms, delivering high-quality outputs while learning and growing in a collaborative environment.
• Deliver dynamic and fundamentally strong visual design using broad capabilities and a growth mindset
• Create clear, compelling designs tailored to appropriate use and platforms primarily in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
• Contribute to creative concepts and solutions, and collaborate with team members to establish smart, creative approaches for clients and projects
• Clearly articulate your decision-making and design process, execution on creative direction, and give and receive feedback
• Collaborate with agility, managing multiple work streams, responsibilities, and deadlines to create brand content and digital experiences.
• Leverage emerging technology and tools to accelerate design exploration and prototype concepts.
• Build and maintain components, styles, and design systems for brand content and digital products.

Must Haves

• 2-4 years relevant experience at an agency or in-house
• Creative portfolio rooted in visual design
• Demonstrated ability to work from brief through final delivery and iterate quickly
• Ability to evolve your work to leverage emerging platforms and technologies
• Creative idea generation, especially for digital and social media strategy
• Comfort executing designs across formats (web, social, motion, presentation)
• Experience in user-focused and accessible interactive design
• Comfort with presenting work internally and externally
• High drive and pride in your work

• Experience working across a range of industries and platforms
• Familiarity with front-end code or low/no-code platforms (e.g., Webflow) to prototype, iterate, and publish designs

Compensation

Base salary: $60,000–$90,000, depending on experience and skill level. Total compensation includes benefit eligibility, stipends, and retirement contributions. We benchmark our salaries against creative-agency roles in the DC area and national digital-design markets to ensure competitiveness.
