Artemis Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team! This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in tax accounting and a passion for client service. As a Tax Accountant, you’ll work with a supportive team to prepare and review tax returns, conduct research on tax issues, and assist with compliance and advisory services for a diverse range of clients. Key Responsibilities:

• Tax Preparation and Compliance: Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current regulations.
• Client Service: Support clients by answering tax-related questions, providing information on tax filing requirements, and assisting with basic tax planning.
• Research and Analysis: Conduct tax research on relevant issues and stay updated on changing tax laws and regulations.
• Document Management: Organize, track, and maintain client documentation to ensure thorough and timely completion of engagements.
• Support Senior Staff: Assist senior accountants and managers in gathering financial information and preparing client documents.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving efficiency within the tax preparation process and contribute to a positive client experience.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s in Taxation or CPA candidacy preferred (not required).
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in public accounting or tax-related roles; internship experience will be considered.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with tax software (e.g., CCH, ProSeries, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts to clients and team members.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy in work.
• Team Orientation: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with a proactive approach to learning and professional development.
