Senior Accountant

We are seeking an Interim Senior Staff Accountant to join our North Hollywood team during a critical transition period. This temporary, two-month assignment offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with a strong foundation in month-end close processes and consolidated financial statements preparation. The role involves collaborating within a small team while working independently to support key financial reporting activities for a leading manufacturer of commercial restroom accessories.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements
• Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate financial information
• Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed
• Assist with process improvements and special accounting projects
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting schedules

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong experience supporting month-end close processes
• Proven ability to prepare consolidated financial statements
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing within a team environment
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Friendly, coachable, and collaborative personality

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation or CPA candidate
• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience consolidating foreign entities
• Experience accounting for foreign currency transactions
• Experience with OneStream or similar financial reporting and consolidation systems
