We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Payroll Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with a strong background in full-cycle payroll processing and hands-on experience with multiple ADP platforms (such as Workforce Now, RUN, or Vantage).
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and providing exceptional internal customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees.
Accurately input, audit, and verify payroll data prior to transmission.
Utilize various ADP platforms to process payroll, generate reports, and troubleshoot issues.
Ensure payroll is processed on schedule and in compliance with applicable wage and hour laws.
Handle payroll tax reporting, deductions, garnishments, and benefits-related transactions.
Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, timekeeping, and payroll policies.
Assist with year-end activities including W-2 preparation and distribution.
Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure seamless operations.
Occasionally attend in-office meetings or complete tasks requiring physical presence (minimal travel).
Qualifications:
3 years of payroll experience with demonstrated full-cycle payroll processing expertise.
Strong experience with ADP platforms (Workforce Now, RUN, Vantage, or similar).
Solid knowledge of payroll best practices and compliance requirements.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office products.
Experience supporting multi-state payroll is a plus.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily remote with limited, scheduled in-office work as needed.
Flexible work hours within a 20-hour weekly schedule.
