Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated therapist to join Artemis Mental Health Counseling and Wellness. The ideal candidate will have experience in various clientele and clinical settings. This role involves providing mental health counseling and performing diagnostic evaluations to support our patients' well-being. The therapist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care in an office and telehealth environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to determine patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide group therapy sessions to facilitate peer support and collective healing.
• Implement behavior management strategies to address specific patient challenges.
• Maintain thorough medical documentation in accordance with HIPAA standards.
• Engage in case management activities to coordinate care among multidisciplinary teams.
• Stay informed about current research and best practices in therapy and mental health treatment.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care outcomes.

Experience

• A license in the State of NY in Mental Health Counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
• Experience working with kids and couples populations is a plus.
• Familiarity with ICD-9 coding for accurate diagnosis documentation is beneficial.
• Proven ability to manage cases effectively while providing compassionate patient care.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with patients and team members.

• PsyD. or PhD degree in Clinical Psychology/Counseling Psychology
• LCSW

Candidate must have:

• Strong skills in patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment and familiarity with EHR
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in social work practice.

Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
