[Job description]
The Operations Team Leader is responsible for ensuring a safe, welcoming, and memorable visitor experience at ARTE MUSEUM through smooth daily operations. As the first point of contact for guests, the TL leads and coordinates the operations team across all rotation duties — including Reception, Ticket Checking, Rounding, MD Shop, and Tea Bar — while upholding the highest standards of customer service and operational excellence.
[Duties and Responsibilities]
Team Leadership & Operations Management
* Lead, coordinate, and oversee the overall performance of the operations team
- Manage shift scheduling, team rotation assignments, and workload distribution
- Support team members' skill development, onboarding, and day-to-day guidance
- Participate in problem-solving and operational decision-making
- Improve and streamline workflow processes to enhance efficiency
- Report team performance, incidents, and operational updates to management
- Comply with and implement museum operation policies and procedures
- Work according to the schedule, including weekends and public holidays; be prepared for rotating shifts
Guest Services
* Greet and welcome all visitors — including VIPs and large groups — ensuring Company service standards are met
- Provide welcoming tours or briefings with up-to-date exhibition information as needed
- Handle visitor inquiries, complaints, and emergencies with professionalism
Rotation Duties
Team members rotate through the following duty areas under TL coordination:
- Reception*
* Provide customer service at reception, including exhibit descriptions and precautions
- Assist visitors with ticket purchasing and entry procedures
- Crowd control at lobbies and entrances
- Verify ticket validity and eligibility for special discounts
- Manage VIP invitation tickets, stroller/wheelchair rentals, and storage lockers
- Respond to and troubleshoot emergencies
- Ticket Checking*
* Verify and scan visitor tickets at entry points
- Check eligibility for special discounts and manage VIP invitations
- Manage visitor flow and crowd control
- Assist guests with questions about the exhibition and facilities
- Rounding*
* Walk the exhibition zones to check mapping, warping, and content display conditions
- Monitor and report issues with exhibit content or facilities to relevant teams
- Arrange customer wrap skirts at designated entrances
- Replace damaged items in the STAR RAINDROPS zone
- Organize paper, crayons, and tables in the Live Sketchbook zone
- Maintain optimal temperature and scent levels across zones
* Provide crowd control and visitor assistance throughout the exhibition
- Collect lost items and deliver to the gift shop; remove any trash found
- MD Shop*
* Display and arrange products on shelves; maintain store cleanliness
- Assist customers with product information and purchasing
- Manage inventory, warehouse in/out, and quarterly audits
- Handle payments, exchanges, refunds, and cash management
- Manage supplies (wrappers, bags) and store lost and found items
- Tea Bar*
* Take orders, assign seating, and assist walk-in customers
- Prepare and serve beverages in accordance with standards
- Manage and share daily inventory status
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and Tea Bar area
[Job Qualifications]
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
*Experience & Knowledge
* Minimum of 5 years of food and beverage or related hospitality experience such as café, bar, or restaurant within the United States
* Prior experience in supervising, leading, or coordinating a team
- Understanding of museum or attraction operations and procedures
- Knowledge of customer service best practices and sanitary standards
- Familiarity with exhibition content and the ability to clearly explain it to visitors
*Skills & Competencies
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office, especially Excel
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example and support team members
- Active listening and clear, professional communication skills
- Problem-solving ability and sound judgment in emergency situations

*Salary: $85,000 ~ $95,000 (Negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
