Senior Accountant | Victory Brewing Company - Parkesburg, PA The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accounting and financial analysis for the brewery operations for specific brands within the ABV family. Under the direction of the Controller, this individual will be responsible for the financial closing process and day to day accounting for the company. WHAT YOU'LL DO Prepare and post journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations in conjunction with the month-end close process. Assist in the accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closes. Perform detailed account analysis and general ledger account roll forwards. Prepare management reports and provide variance analysis of results on a monthly basis. Review areas within the general ledger for accuracy of reporting and GAAP/regulatory compliance. Support operations in analysis and reporting of financial information. Assist in the preparation of accurate federal and state beer excise and sales tax return. Reconcile bank accounts on a daily transactional basis. Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including posting invoices, making vendor payments, applying customer payments, and preparing deposits. Ensure organizational compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process. Other general accounting and month-end close duties as assigned. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. Work Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in industry accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Availability for a Hybrid work schedule (2-3 days onsite at Victory Parkesburg) Solid communication and interpersonal skills. PC skills including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced Excel modeling. with automated general ledger / ERP systems and reporting tools. Experience with SAP ERP software is strongly preferred. Use of Orchestrated BEER is a plus. Knowledge of finance, accounting and inventory control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Knowledge of federal and state beverage industry regulations and reporting requirements a plus. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet required deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills, both internal and external, across all levels. Team-oriented. Ability to prioritize and work independently. Physical Requirements This is largely a sedentary role; however, some lifting is required. This would require the ability to lift various items/boxes, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary, up to 50 pounds. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position also requires maintaining sitting positions for long periods of time.
