Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Essex, CT, with the option to work from home for certain tasks. The counselor will provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions, develop treatment plans, and maintain client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Responsibilities also include assessing client needs, providing crisis intervention, and collaborating with other professionals to support client outcomes. Active participation in continuous professional development and clinical supervision is expected.
Qualifications
- Active licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent in the state of Connecticut
- Strong skills in individual, group, and family therapy
- Experience in developing personalized treatment plans and conducting client assessments
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential clinical documentation
- Effective communication, empathetic interaction, and active listening skills
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices is an advantage
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field required
- Experience with expressive arts therapies or art therapy is a strong plus
- Experience with children and adolescents
