What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LPC, ATR, LCSW) position at Art Therapy & Creative Counseling LLC?
Art Therapy & Creative Counseling LLC is seeking full-time licensed Art Therapist (LPC, LCSW, and/or ATR) to join our newly renovated Essex office. As a diverse group psychotherapy practice, we support clinicians' passions and creativity while promoting flexible work-life balance and a thriving caseload. This position primarily serves children, adolescents, and mixed-age groups through individual and expressive arts therapy modalities in an independent clinician role, with some team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual art therapy and expressive arts therapy sessions
- Conduct client counseling with children, adolescents, and adults
- Manage cases effectively and coordinate care with providers
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation following CT laws and ethical codes
- Participate in weekly group supervision and bi-weekly individual supervision
- Collaborate with the clinical team when required
- Manage a caseload of 28-32 clients per week
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Mental Health or related field
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or ATR certification
- Connecticut mental health license
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in mental health counseling
- Specialized experience in art therapy and child/adolescent therapy
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and case management
- Strong collaboration, time management, and professional ethics skills
- Trauma certification is a plus
- Experience with expressive arts therapy
