Role Description The Sales Specialist is a contract role responsible for driving revenue through outreach, relationship-building, and sales execution. This hybrid position is based in Albuquerque, NM, with a mix of on-site work at events, galleries, and partner locations, and some work from home for virtual meetings, follow-up, and administrative tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and engaging prospective clients and partners, presenting Art Off the Rails’ offerings, and closing sales for exhibitions, sponsorships, campaigns, and related services. The Sales Specialist will respond to inquiries, provide customer service to artists and partners, and maintain accurate records in sales and CRM tools. The role also involves collaborating with the team to refine sales strategies, support promotional activities, and provide product or service training to partners as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage diverse artists, clients, and community partners.
- Demonstrated Sales experience, including prospecting, presenting, and closing deals in a creative or mission-driven environment.
- Ability to provide Training and support to partners or team members on sales processes, offerings, or tools.
- Experience or interest in Sales Management, including pipeline tracking, reporting, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of or interest in Indigenous and local arts and culture in New Mexico and surrounding regions.
- Comfort working in a hybrid setting, with reliable transportation for local on-site work and the ability to work independently from home.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple leads, contracts, and follow-up activities.
- Prior experience in arts, non-profit, or community-focused organizations is beneficial but not required.
