Duties
- Perform professional barbering services such as haircuts, beard trims, straight razor shaves, and grooming consultations with precision and care
- Utilize salon software and management tools like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and streamline daily operations
- Provide expert advice on hair care, hair coloring, hair extensions, and styling techniques tailored to each client’s needs
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools, cleaning workstations, and adhering to health regulations
- Assist clients with retail sales of hair care products, styling tools, and grooming accessories through effective upselling and product knowledge
- Offer specialized services such as eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, or hair threading when qualified
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques and best practices to foster a collaborative learning environment
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license in accordance with state regulations
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on barbering and grooming services
- Strong knowledge of hair coloring theory, hair styling techniques, and store management practices
- Familiarity with salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management
- Excellent communication skills to connect with clients and understand their grooming preferences
