Job Summary
Art Leaders Gallery is seeking a polished, motivated, and service-oriented Gallery Sales Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-focused luxury environment and has a passion for sales, design, hospitality, and fine art.
As a Gallery Sales Associate, you will assist collectors, designers, and visitors throughout every stage of the collecting experience by providing exceptional white-glove service, developing strong client relationships, and helping clients discover artwork that best suits their space and lifestyle. You will also support day-to-day gallery operations including artwork presentation, inventory management, event preparation, and proposal creation.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, personable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the inner workings of a successful fine art gallery and art market. Previous sales experience is strongly preferred; while knowledge of art is welcomed, it is not required as we will train the ideal candidate on the collection.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage clients in a warm, professional, and approachable manner
- Deliver an elevated white-glove client experience from initial inquiry through final sale
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with collectors, designers, and prospective clients
- Proactively follow up on leads, inquiries, and ongoing sales opportunities
- Assist in creating artwork proposal presentations for residential and commercial spaces
- Learn and confidently speak about represented artists, artwork collections, and current exhibitions
- Process sales transactions and assist with invoicing through ArtCloud CMS
- Answer phones, emails, and client inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with gallery merchandising, artwork installation, and maintaining showroom presentation standards
- Package and coordinate shipment of sold artwork while communicating tracking and delivery details to clients
- Assist with inventory management, artwork intake, and organization of gallery systems
- Support the execution of gallery exhibitions, receptions, and special events
- Work collaboratively with the gallery team while maintaining a proactive, self-starting mindset
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous sales, luxury retail, hospitality, interior design, or client service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a polished and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to independently follow through on leads and projects
- Comfortable learning new software systems and gallery procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
- Availability to work occasional evening or weekend gallery events with advance notice
- Interest in fine art, design, luxury goods, or creative industries strongly preferred
- Experience with ArtCloud or similar CRM/inventory systems is a plus, but not required
- Ability to assist with hanging and moving artwork when needed
