Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and solutions-driven Software & Support Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both building systems from the ground up and supporting live, operational experiences in the field.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the software that powers our escape room experiences, as well as providing ongoing technical oversight and troubleshooting support for installed systems. This position serves as the primary point of contact for technical issues across active installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software systems that drive interactive escape room gameplay
- Write and implement code for hardware-integrated experiences
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for installed rooms and systems
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues
- Serve as the primary technical contact for clients and internal teams
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to software, hardware, and system integration
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure seamless implementation
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in C and Python
- Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux-based systems
- Experience with microcontrollers and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, Arduino and ESP32 based systems)
- Familiarity with combinational logic and system-level thinking
- General understanding of soldering and electrical wiring
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple active systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in themed entertainment or interactive installations
- Familiarity with embedded systems and hardware/software integration
- Experience supporting live or customer-facing technical systems
- Experience with Printed Circuit Board Design
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
