What You Might Do:
- Support program managers by tracking project milestones and supporting acquisition strategies.
- Provide cost estimating, lifecycle costing, and cost-benefit analyses for acquisition programs.
- Coordinate and contribute to Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) activities.
- Draft and manage purchase request packages, contract documentation, and funding awards.
- Participate in Integrated Product Teams and engage with key stakeholders across government agencies.
- Assist in setting and aligning portfolio strategies, monitoring project execution, and ensuring performance targets are met.
- Track budgets and spend plans across multiple fiscal years and appropriations.
- Prepare materials for reviews, briefings, and strategic planning efforts.
- Advise teams on risk management, contracting approaches, and acquisition best practices.
- Collaborate with financial analysts and contracting officers to ensure timely, compliant contract execution.
- Secret clearance required; ability to obtain Top Secret.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field—or STEM degree with RDT&E and acquisition experience.
- 5 years of relevant experience with a BS (3 with an MS).
- Knowledge of federal financial and acquisition regulations, including FAR, FMR, and OMB A-123.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex info to senior leaders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and adaptable to new systems.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- 5–10 years of DoD resource management experience.
- Familiarity with acquisition and financial systems including:
- DAI
- CAT (Consolidated Acquisition Tool)
- SMART
- EDA/WAWF
- JICAP platform
- Prior DoD or military experience, especially in research and development acquisition.
