Position Summary
We are hiring a highly alert, professional Armed Security Officer to protect clients, personnel, and property. This role requires strong situational awareness, calm decision-making, and the ability to de-escalate conflict while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Unarmed candidates may be considered if willing to obtain required licensing during employment (as applicable).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine patrols to identify suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security breaches.
- Monitor and operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to support real-time site awareness.
- Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; assess risk and take appropriate action per post orders/protocols.
- Enforce site rules, access procedures, and safety requirements to maintain order and reduce risk.
- Apply conflict management and de-escalation techniques to resolve situations professionally.
- Provide support during emergencies, including first aid/CPR assistance when needed.
- Coordinate with supervisors and, when necessary, law enforcement/emergency responders.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and required documentation.
- Participate in required training to maintain readiness, certifications, and compliance.
- Provide professional customer service and support day-to-day site operations as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong customer service, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in security, loss prevention, or related fields preferred.
- Familiarity with CCTV/surveillance systems preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and sound judgment under pressure.
- Physically able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift items as needed.
- Candidates must be comfortable using WhatsApp for company-related communication (updates, scheduling, and site coordination).
- First Aid/CPR preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Drivers License (Required).
Pay Practices & Scheduling Notes
Overtime is calculated by California workday/workweek (not a rolling 24-hour period), which is more favorable to employees, and paid in accordance with California wage-and-hour law.
