Duties
- Fabricate cabinets, trim, moldings, and other woodwork components using hand tools, power tools and fabrication techniques
- Read and interpret detailed schematics to ensure accurate production and installation of cabinetry and trim pieces
- Measure and cut materials precisely for custom projects, adhering to project specifications and industry standards
- Assemble components with attention to detail, including door hanging, fixture installation, caulking, and finishing touches
- Possibly install finished products on-site
- Perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or bulky materials during fabrication or installation
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in cabinetry manufacturing or trim carpentry within the construction or restoration industry
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and blueprint-based fabrication
- Proficiency with hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers), power tools (drills, sanders)
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and experience working on active job sites
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality craftsmanship in cabinet installation and restoration projects
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and read technical drawings effectively
