Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor at our Turnersville, NJ location. The counselor will provide individual and group counseling, perform comprehensive treatment planning, and support relapse prevention efforts. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, managing client cases, collaborating with mental health professionals, and monitoring progress in recovery. The counselor will also educate clients about chemical dependency and its impacts while working on creating personalized strategies to support long-term sobriety and wellness.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Treatment Planning and Case Management
- Expertise in Chemical Dependency and Relapse Prevention strategies
- Knowledge and experience in supporting Mental Health care
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis intervention skills
- Current certification or licensure in substance abuse counseling is required
- A background in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred.
