Position Summary

The HR Generalist plays a critical role in achieving ARS Brands' annual and long-term growth plans. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Generalist supports daily HR operations across all ARS Brands markets, including assisting with employee relations, compliance audits, recruiting, onboarding, monthly trainings, benefits administration, HR systems, and assisting with policy implementation. This role is hands-on, detail-oriented, and critical to ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance across the organization. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with on-site work Monday through Thursday and remote work on Fridays but is subject to change based on needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as an HR point of contact for managers and team members across multiple states.
- Support employee relations investigations, documentation, coaching, and corrective action processes.
- Assist with compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FLSA, ADA, FMLA, Paid Leave laws, minor labor requirements, and break/rest rules.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and HR documentation.
- Assist with policy rollouts, updates, and companywide HR communications.
- Conduct new hire audits to ensure I-9 accuracy and onboarding completion.
- Partnering with hiring managers to support recruiting efforts for restaurant leadership and hourly roles.
- Assist with communication rollouts, engagement programs and culture-building initiatives.
- Support new store openings and leadership onboarding.
- Ability to work beyond normal business hours as needed to meet business demands.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role within a multi-unit QSR environment
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR compliance
- Excellent communication skills with strong follow-through and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual (required)
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state
- PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP preferred
- Experience with HRIS systems, Microsoft Teams, and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
