About the Role
Arrupe Jesuit High School is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Development Coordinator to help strengthen and grow our fundraising and community engagement efforts. The Development Coordinator will play a critical role in day-to-day operations, supporting donor stewardship and fundraising campaigns, board communication, and special event operations. The ideal candidate is a natural builder with a start-up mentality who is energized by creating systems, solving problems, and finding ways to move work forward with limited resources. They are equally comfortable handling administrative details and engaging directly with donors, volunteers, board members, and community partners. The successful candidate will bring strong organizational skills, exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, and a true flair for writing that inspires engagement and action. They will demonstrate sound judgment, attention to detail, and a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Primary Responsibilities
● Maintain accurate and timely donor records, acknowledgements, imports, segmented lists, and activity tracking in Salesforce while ensuring overall database integrity.
● Draft and manage donor communications and stewardship materials including thank-you letters, tax receipts, newsletters, campaign content, stewardship packages, and new donor welcome materials.
● Prepare materials and communications for the Board of Trustees and help identify meaningful ways to keep board members engaged in the mission.
● Support fundraising and cultivation events including the annual gala, golf tournament and volunteer engagement experiences through email and phone communication, RSVP management, logistics, and on-site coordination.
● Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and donor engagement tools.
● Collaborate cross-departmentally to strengthen a culture of philanthropy.
● Uphold a strict level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions and communications.
● Support the Development team with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications
● Passion for the mission of Arrupe Jesuit High School and commitment to advancing educational opportunities for students with limited economic resources.
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management.
● Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
● Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Canva.
● Experience with Salesforce preferred.
