Obstetrician and Gynecologist (OB/GYN)

Arroyo Vista Family Health Center is a network of four federally qualified community health centers and a mobile clinic established in 1981 and located in Los Angeles. Our mission is to meet the current and future health needs of greater Northeast Los Angeles by providing high quality, comprehensive, and affordable health care services in a compassionate and financially responsible manner. We provide comprehensive, quality, primary, specialty and urgent health care services in a compassionate, linguistically appropriate and cultural sensitive manner regardless of ability to pay. Our services include medical, dental, optometry, behavioral health, radiology, ultrasound, mammography, laboratory, pharmacy, and health education. We are accredited by The Joint Commission for ambulatory services and certified as a Primary Care Medical Home. We serve as a clinical training center for medical students and nurse practitioners through our affiliation with local universities. 

Job Description

The OB/GYN will provide medical care to women, including examine, diagnose, prevent and treat, illness, and disease. The OB/GYN provides care related to pregnancy and the reproductive system, explains diagnosis, procedures and discusses test results on prescribed treatments with patient, advices patients concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. The OB/GYN also specializes in childbirth, treating and counseling women throughout their pregnancy, from giving prenatal diagnoses to delivery and postpartum care. The OB/GYN will collaborate with other physicians and mid-level providers. The OB/GYN will perform other job related duties as required by departmental needs and demands. 

Requirements

• MD degree from an accredited medical school and completion of accredited residency program
• Board certified or Board eligible 
• Valid CA state license, DEA and BLS
• Admitting privileges to at least one hospital conveniently located near the clinic
• Ability to work well with others in a professional manner in a team oriented environment
• Knowledgeable of, competent and compliant with Electronic Medical Records
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) desirable 
• Valid CA driver’s license, access to an automobile and state-required auto liability coverage

Compensation and Benefits Packet

• Annual Salary $240,000-$247,200
• Federal Loan Repayment Eligibility (National Health Service Corp)
