Summary:
Assist Dental Staff by performing front office duties in the Dental Office.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives public and patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Registers dental patients and assigns all new patients a medical chart.
- Obtains patient financial eligibility data.
- Enters visits in encounter control log.
- Schedules and confirms dental appointments.
- Answers dental office telephone.
- Responsible for collecting payment of fees, documenting such on log and balancing of cash till at end of each day.
- Follows up on no-shows and cancellations.
- Assists in explanation of dental treatment plans under the direction of dental assistant.
- Actively participates in the Quality Management Program.
- Actively participates in the Infection Control Program, Safety Program, and Emergency Preparedness Program.
- Responsible for following all Agency safety and health standards, regulations, procedures, policies, and practices.
- Performs other duties, as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1 year experience in dental office.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Ability to work well with the public.
- High school graduate.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Salary : $22 - $25
