Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious meals with precision and flair, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and kitchen operations will help create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while supporting the smooth functioning of our dining services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including food handling areas
- Ensure all food is prepared safely following food safety guidelines and regulations
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently
- Handle food with care, using proper knife skills and cooking techniques
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, preferably as a line cook or culinary aide
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food handling procedures
- Experience with dietary department requirements or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Strong knife skills and meal preparation abilities are essential
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, food safety standards, and catering operations
- Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining high-quality standards
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
