Provides clinical, administrative and program supervision to Direct Support Persons – Residential (Med Administration). On-site supervision to persons in other programs as necessary.
- Supervises medication administration operations and activities in all programs (ensures MARs current & accurate) with medication changes. Changes and signs MARs monthly. Checks MARS and signs after month complete.
- Submits nursing med errors as required and quarterly report to Safety Committee.
- Keeps Developmental Services Division Director informed regarding programmatic successes and problems.
- Will assist with medical appointments as needed and maintain a good working relationship with physician appointments to maintain continuity of care.
- Ability to screen, assess and provide interventions for consumers that are exhibiting symptoms of trauma.
- Must be able to write, implement and train staff on behavior intervention programs as written in each individual’s plan.
- Completes nursing assessments (SAMA and HRIST), administers injections, and coordinates medications and/or medical needs of consumers.
- Will assist in running of medical appointments and will assist in monitoring individual’s medication availability.
- Monitors and documents that individuals maintain and obtain their optimal level of health.
