Materials / Inventory Manager
Arrowhead is helping a local speciality truck manufacturer fill a Materials Manager role. This is a critical, hands-on leadership opportunity. The ideal candidate is a seasoned inventory and supply chain professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, connecting the shop floor to engineering, sales, purchasing, and finance — ensuring the right materials are in the right place at the right time. This role owns all aspects of inventory management and material flow, from raw materials and WIP to finished goods, shipping and receiving, and ERP system integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Own all inventory management functions including monitoring stock levels, resolving discrepancies, preventing shortages and overstocking, and managing damaged goods — utilizing Epicor Kinetic as the primary ERP tool
- Supervise material coordinators, material handling, shipping and receiving, and clean room personnel, ensuring established procedures are consistently followed
- Interface with engineering, sales, and purchasing to confirm accurate bills of materials upon job creation and ensure inventory supply aligns with production schedules
- Identify and drive opportunities to reduce material costs, eliminate obsolete inventory, and improve overall supply chain efficiency year over year
- Lead or support complex problem resolution across manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, and finance
Qualification:
- 10–15 years of inventory, sourcing, purchasing experience; fabrication or assembly background preferred
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, supply chain logistics, and ERP systems — Epicor Kinetic experience a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Science preferred; Green or Black Belt certification a plus
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and negotiation skills required
Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
