Job Summary:
Custom molded fiberglass products repair utilizing autobody experience.
Duties
- Ability to work with others
- Able to work in a noisy environment with odors present
- Able to bend stretch, kneel, and squat to perform some repairs, inspections and various task
- Inspecting finished products for defects to ensure quality standards are being met
- Check completed products for conformance to specifications and for defects by measuring with tape measures or checking templates
- Understanding of how to use tools required for the trade to ensure they are safely and proficiently used such as: small hand grinders, buffers, orbital sanders, cut off saw
- Install hardware, brackets and accessories as necessary
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Have a consistent and proven attendance record
- Ability to use materials/supplies fully to insure minimal scrap efficiency
- Can properly fill air voids or defects with body filler and ensure a quality repair once trained
- Ability to learn proper sanding, wet sanding and buffing techniques once trained -trim, shape and sand components as required
- Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment
- Good to excellent problem-solving skills
- Able to develop appropriate and efficient methods for each job
- Follow all PPE guidelines
- Willingness to learn all aspects of fiberglass manufacturing related to our process
- Ensure that all products are packed for shipment according to customer specifications
- Paint prep procedures
- Ability to wet sand and finish parts without sand scratches
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Experience with autobody repair is a plus
- Ability to move molds in excess of 50lbs from one workspace to another
