What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift RTM Production Associate position at Arrowhead Plastic Engineering, Inc.?
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary function of a RTM Production Associate will be trained up to and including how to operate injection equipment and spray equipment to produce composite parts by injecting liquid resin into a closed mold containing pre-placed fibers, followed by curing and part removal.
SKILLS /RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to set up and operate RTM machinery efficiently – training required.
- Ensuring molds are clean, properly sealed, and prepared for resin injection, including placing fiber preforms or packs.
- Preparing and mixing resins and initiators a injecting the resin into the mold under controlled pressure.
- Monitoring and controlling the curing process and safely removing the cured composite parts from the mold.
- Inspecting parts for defects and ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Ensure that all products are packed for shipment according to customer specifications
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work with others
- Follow all PPE guidelines
- Have a consistent and proven attendance record
- Able to develop appropriate and efficient methods for each job
- Able to work in a noisy environment with odors present
- Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lifting of and moving molds 50 – 100 pounds routinely
- Exposure of skin to resin, acetone, fiberglass, gun flush, catalyst
