Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and bilingual Chiropractic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in both English and Spanish, along with a comprehensive understanding of medical support functions within a chiropractic setting. As a Chiropractic Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations, delivering excellent patient service, and supporting clinical staff with administrative and clinical duties.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients in both English and Spanish, ensuring a welcoming environment for diverse populations.
- Collect patient intake information, including medical history, current symptoms, and insurance details accurately.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration to support clinical assessments.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) and ensure proper documentation of patient interactions.
- Assist with clinical procedures including phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support as needed.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and follow-up communications efficiently.
- Support the clinical team with medical documentation, ICD coding, and other administrative tasks to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
Qualifications
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
- Prior experience in medical office support or healthcare environments such as dermatology, hospital medicine, or urgent care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology enhances patient care delivery.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and medical documentation practices is essential.
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing medical records and administrative tasks.
- Previous experience working in outpatient clinics or chiropractic offices is advantageous but not mandatory.
