Purpose: Oversees and coordinates daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient and safe handling of goods. Manage staff, inventory and processes while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Team Management:
- Lead, train and evaluate warehouse staff, including scheduling shifts, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
- Provide coaching, feedback and assist with team development.
Inventory Control:
- Monitor stock levels
- Receives and records new inventory as it is delivered; inspects and stores it according to policy.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting and regular audits
- Manage stock movement using warehouse management system (WMS)
- Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase efficiencies of warehouse practices.
Process Optimization:
- Identify inefficiencies, implement process improvements and streamline workflow
- Enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Logistics Coordination:
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics
- Coordinate with transportation providers
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Reporting:
Generate reports on inventory levels, shipment accuracy and staff performance
Qualifications / Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5-7 years strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (focusing in Excel and inventory tracking methods)
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems
- Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail
- Excellent decision making and critical thinking skills
Physical Requirements:
- Constant Standing and walking
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand for extended periods of time.
- Preform various physical tasks/duties as needed.
