What you need to be successful
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field experience.
● Experience working with a Staffing agency (Asset)
● 3 - 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 1 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
● Expertise in payroll funding, multi-state tax compliance, and high-volume AR/AP.
● Proficiency in accounting/payroll systems (QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, ADP, or similar) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
● Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
● Adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
● Well-versed in working in high-pressure environments with attention to detail
● Must be organized and have the ability to prioritize your day
● Experience with factoring companies preferred
What you will be doing day to day
● Manage and file payroll tax filings (federal, state, local, and quarterly returns)
● Reconciling payroll funding, taxes, and garnishments across multiple states
● Managing a team for high-volume weekly payroll for temporary employees
● Analyzing gross profit margins by client or job order
● Monitor daily cash flow and payroll funding requirements
● Match daily deposits and payments against the bank ledger
● Ensure workers’ compensation premiums are correctly tracked
● Post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, adjustments)
● Review P&L, balance sheet, and gross margin reports
● Prepare forecasts based on upcoming payroll/billing trends
● Support year-end audits and issue W-2s and 1099s
● Conduct financial reviews with leadership and adjust budgets
● Lead annual workers’ comp audits and ensure proper job codes
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
