Paint Line Hanger

Pay: $17.00$19.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, flexible, and detail-oriented Paint Line Hanger to join our manufacturing team.

The Paint Line Hanger supports the beginning and end of the paint-line process. This position prepares and hangs parts before they enter the powder coating process and removes, inspects, and handles parts after they have been painted and cured.

This is not a painting position. Paint Line Hangers do not apply paint or powder. The role focuses on preparing, handling, inspecting, and moving parts through the paint-line process.

Flexibility is important because team members may work in different areas of the paint line depending on production needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Review work orders and determine the proper and most efficient way to hang parts on the paint line.

• Prepare parts for processing, including plugs, racking, sanding, and other required preparation.

• Inspect parts for defects before they enter the wash and paint process.

• Hang parts according to work orders, procedures, and production requirements.

• Remove, inspect, and handle completed parts at the end of the paint line.

• Identify and communicate quality or production issues and assist with troubleshooting.

• Work in different areas of the paint line as production needs require.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Participate in quality programs and continuous-improvement initiatives.

• Work cooperatively with team members to meet production and quality requirements.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Flexible and willing to learn and perform different tasks throughout the paint line.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to read and understand work instructions, blueprints, safety rules, and operating procedures.

• Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals.

• Comfortable using digital tools and systems - ERP system.

• Ability to work overtime when approved and scheduled.

• Manufacturing experience preferred.

• Previous powder-coating experience preferred.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

This is a physically active manufacturing position. Employees must be able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.

• Frequently bend, stoop, reach, and stretch.

• Perform repetitive tasks and movements.

• Lift, carry, push, and pull parts and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Work in different areas of the paint line as needed.

• Work safely in an environment where temperatures may become elevated due to the curing oven, particularly when working near the oven or handling recently cured parts.

• Maintain attention to detail while performing repetitive production work.
