Security Officer

Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to safeguard our facilities, assets, and personnel. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment through vigilant surveillance, conflict management, and emergency response. Your role is vital in preventing loss, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and providing excellent service to all visitors and staff. Schedule 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday 6pm-2am

Schedule 2: Friday & Saturday 6pm-5am, Sunday 6pm-2am

Schedule 3: Friday & Saturday 6pm-5am, Sunday 6pm-10pm

Pay Rate: $14.50/hr

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises using CCTV systems and conduct regular surveillance patrols to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
• Control access points by verifying identification and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by applying conflict management techniques and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders as needed
• Conduct thorough inspections of individuals and property to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incident reports, shift logs, and security breaches with accuracy and professionalism
• Implement loss prevention strategies by observing behaviors that could indicate theft or misconduct
• Provide first aid or CPR when necessary, ensuring safety and well-being of all individuals on site

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service or related fields is highly desirable
• Certification in first aid and CPR from recognized organizations is preferred
• Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and conducting visual inspections
• Knowledge of conflict management techniques and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Familiarity with loss prevention practices and security protocols
• Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and the public
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts
