Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the general ledger team
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Coordinate year-end audits with external auditors
- Manage the preparation of audit schedules, data requests, financial statements, and accompanying footnotes
- Streamline intercompany accounting, allocations, and accrual management
- Develop KPI dashboards to improve accounting operations and performance
- Assist with filings, partner transactions, and compensation-related entries
- Implement machine learning tools for journal entry automation/approval and reconciliations
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 7-10 years of related accounting experience within a professional services environment
- Experience at a law firm a plus
- Deep understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial systems
- Success driving process transformation, system implementations, and AI/automation initiatives
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and financial automation platforms
