Position Summary/ Purpose
The Operations Support Specialist serves as a flexible, hands-on resource that supports the daily operations of Arrow Lift Rentals. This position is responsible for completing a wide variety of tasks that keep our facilities, fleet and operations running efficiently; No two days are the same. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, takes pride in keeping things organized, notices what needs to be done without being asked, and is willing to jump in wherever they’re needed. Daily responsibilities will vary based on operational needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Facility & Property Maintenance
- Perform routine facility maintenance including but not limited to changing HVAC filters, replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, trash pickup, stocking supplies in bathrooms and kitchen areas, and assistance in keeping workspaces clean and organized.
- Mow, weed eat, trim landscaping, and maintain the appearance of company property.
- Empty trash, maintain outdoor areas, and assist with seasonal cleanup projects.
- Coordinate propane tank refills and other routine facility services.
- Coordinate and track recurring facility inspections, certifications and preventative maintenance, including fire extinguisher inspections, HVAC serving and other required annual or periodic inspections.
- Identify maintenance issues and communicate repair needs to management;
- Assist with organizing storage areas, trailers, shops and warehouses.
- Support facility improvement projects as assigned.
- General Operations & Parts Support
- Pick up and deliver parts, tools, supplies and equipment components from local vendors, and/ or manufactures.
- Transport equipment components to and from outside repair shops or warranty service providers.
- Support the service department by delivering parts and materials to technicians and assisting with miscellaneous tasks that improve shop efficiency.
- Assist with stocking, organizing, labeling and counting inventory as needed.
- Assist with organizing warehouse spaces, parts storage areas, and shop to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Complete miscellaneous operational errands and support special projects as assigned to help keep all departments running efficiently.
- Provide general operational support wherever needed, recognizing that daily responsibilities will vary based on business priorities.
- Dispatch & Customer Support
- Respond promptly to urgent requests from the dispatch team to support customers and field operations.
- Deliver safety equipment, harnesses, propane cylinders, keys, paperwork, and other customer-requested items to job sites as needed.
- Professionally represent Arrow Lift Rentals while interacting with customers on job sites, maintaining a courteous, helpful and professional demeanor.
- Respond promptly to quick-turn requests from the dispatch teams for items needed at customer sites.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members during deliveries or pickups.
Required Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and a proactive, dependable attitude.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to multitask and shift priorities quickly as needs arise.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
- Basic mechanical understanding or willingness to learn.
- Basic computer skills and professional communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse support, parts, service or general maintenance roles within the construction or equipment rental industry.
- Forklift safety and operation certified.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Frequently lift, carry and move parts and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly bend, squat, reach and climb to access inventory and equipment.
- Prolonged periods of standing or walking throughout the day.
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments with exposure to elements of the weather, dust, grease, etc.
- Visual acuity required for reading part numbers, inspecting inventory, and completing documentation.
- Ability to wear required PPE such as gloves, eye protection and safety vests.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
