Description:
The Bonfire Grill & Pub is looking for an experienced, dependable, and motivated Kitchen Manager to join our leadership team. This position will work closely with our Head Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, support our back-of-house team, and ensure our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in great food, strong teamwork, organization, and creating a positive work environment. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of their responsibilities while collaborating with our Head Chef and management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Head Chef to oversee day-to-day kitchen operations
- Lead, train, motivate, and support the kitchen team
- Create and manage weekly kitchen schedules while maintaining appropriate staffing levels
- Complete truck and food orders, monitor inventory, and ensure the kitchen is properly stocked
- Work with the Head Chef to manage food costs, portion control, waste, and product rotation
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop creative and appealing weekend dinner features
- Oversee food preparation, quality, presentation, and consistency
- Ensure recipes, portions, and kitchen standards are followed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen
- Ensure proper food safety and sanitation procedures are followed
- Help coordinate prep and kitchen operations for busy weekends, large parties, and special events
- Work closely with the Head Chef, management, and front-of-house staff to keep service running efficiently
- Address kitchen issues as they arise and help develop effective solutions
- Set expectations for the team and hold staff accountable while maintaining a positive work environment
