ARRO Consulting is on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Designer 2 to take on important design tasks within our engineering teams. If you have strong abilities in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and a passion for precision in environmental (water and wastewater) engineering designs, this role could be a great fit for you!
Key Responsibilities
Environmental Engineering Design Projects: Utilize AutoCAD to execute detailed process/mechanical design tasks. Responsibilities include preparing process and mechanical designs for utility infrastructure including, but not limited to, pumping stations and treatment facilities.
Hydraulic Structure Design: Assist in the design of essential hydraulic structures, including pipelines, reservoirs, and specially designed water storage facilities. Create accurate, detailed drawings that meet all specifications for construction and implementation.
Software Proficiency and Innovation: Apply strong skills in AutoCAD, with opportunities to contribute to BIM modeling using Autodesk Revit and similar tools to support and enhance our design processes.
Collaboration in Design Execution: Work closely with engineers and senior designers to complete both basic and moderately complex design tasks. Calculate grades and determine utility placements based on plans and engineer instructions, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
Support in Estimation and Budgeting: Assist with construction cost estimation by providing detailed design data to inform budget forecasts. Participate in budget reviews and track design-related project costs as needed.
