The Resident Services Manager is a key member of the onsite leadership team, responsible for delivering an exceptional resident experience while supporting the Property Manager in the daily operations of the community. This role oversees resident relations, renewals, move-outs, leasing support, and operational processes that drive resident satisfaction, retention, and overall property performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for resident concerns, ensuring timely resolution of issues and a positive resident experience.
- Promote resident retention through proactive communication, relationship building, and exceptional customer service.
- Support leasing efforts by conducting property tours, presenting community features and amenities, and assisting prospective residents throughout the application process.
- Manage the resident renewal process, including follow-up communications, rate discussions, inspections, and completion of required documentation.
- Oversee resident move-outs, including inspections, documentation, and assessment of applicable charges.
- Maintain accurate resident and prospect records within property management systems.
- Monitor and report on key community performance metrics, including occupancy, renewals, resident satisfaction, traffic, and conversion rates.
- Ensure effective use of property technologies and systems, including resident communication platforms, access control systems, and property management software.
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to support community operations and resident services.
- Collaborate with centralized accounting teams on delinquency management, final account statements, and compliance-related processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of multifamily property management experience.
- Strong background in customer service, resident relations, leasing, and sales.
- Experience managing renewals, move-ins, and move-outs.
- Proficiency with property management software such as OneSite, RealPage, Funnel, or similar platforms preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
