Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting various machinery within our production facility. Candidates with experience in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and fabrication are highly preferred. Duties
- Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and flexo presses.
- Set up and program machinery using CAD, CAM programming, and CNC programming techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery such as Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation systems.
- Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; assist with fabrication and assembly line tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in tooling setup, fabrication processes, welding, and packaging operations when required.
- Follow all safety protocols related to factory operations including the use of hand tools and heavy machinery.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment within a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls, PLC systems, CAD software like SolidWorks or similar design tools.
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, machining techniques, welding, fabrication, and tooling setup.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes including stamping presses, press brake machines, CNC programming (including CAM), and materials handling equipment like forklifts.
- Ability to use precision measurement instruments such as calipers and micrometers for quality control purposes.
- Prior factory or warehouse experience is preferred; familiarity with assembly lines and packaging is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills necessary for precise machining tasks.
