What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process/ Manufacturing Engineer position at Arphia Partners?
I’m supporting a specialist manufacturing consultancy with the appointment of several Consultants and Senior Consultants into its US team.
This is an opportunity for strong process, manufacturing, chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineers to move into consulting and apply their technical capability across a much broader range of operational challenges.
The work is focused on delivering measurable performance improvement within complex, large scale steady state manufacturing environments. typical projects..
• Increasing yield, throughput, and production capacity
• Reducing waste, scrap, downtime, and cycle time
• Identifying process constraints and operational bottlenecks
• Improving manufacturing efficiency and cost performance
• Turning complex technical analysis into practical site-level action
The business is hiring at two levels:
Consultant level
Typically suited to engineers with approximately 2 to 6 years of relevant industry experience who have developed strong technical foundations and can demonstrate ownership of meaningful improvement work.
Senior Consultant level
Typically suited to professionals with 5 years of experience who can lead project workstreams, influence senior stakeholders, mentor less experienced colleagues, and take responsibility for delivering results on client sites.
Across both levels, they are looking for:
• A degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
• Experience within process-heavy technically complex manufacturing environments
• Evidence of solving difficult operational or manufacturing problems
• Quantifiable impact across yield, throughput, capacity, quality, waste, cost, or cycle time
• The communication skills and professional credibility to work directly with clients
• The ability to operate at pace, adapt quickly, and take ownership
These are not office-based advisory positions. Consultants are expected to spend four days each week on client sites and this is a non-negotiable part of the role. Candidates must also be willing to relocate to the Boston area. (negotiable at the more senior end)
In return, you will join a business that can define the direction of your career. You will gain immediate exposure to multimillion-dollar projects with leading companies in their sectors, work directly with board-level stakeholders, take real ownership of delivery, and progress faster than would typically be possible in industry.
This is a genuine career accelerator for ambitious engineers ready to step up.
