As an Outside Sales Representative, you will provide professional customer service to both internal and external customers, as well as collaborate with customer service center personnel to resolve issues. On our team, you will have the support to excel at work and the resources to build a career you can be proud of. You will process, promote and sell the company products and services. You will go through bidding outlets to respond to RFQs, product searching and price negotiations, make deals, as well as coordinate house accounts to maintain customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities of an outside sales representative also include consulting clients in terms of product or services, working with an existing client base,demonstrating products or services online, establishing contracts, and reporting on the work done in the CRM.
Outside Sales Representatives duties also include, but are not limited to:
- Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, andfollowing up on leads
- Customer service to assigned existing customers
- Collaborate with various departments to answer customer questions and resolve issues
- Understandingcustomers' needs and identifying sales opportunities
- Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information per email
- Keeping up with product and service information and updates
- Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers
- Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services
- Staying informed about competing products and services
- Upselling products and services
- Closing sales and achieving sales targets.
- Provide data for reports for management purposes
- Attend sales meetings
- Participate in sales team on-call
- Support marketing needs where necessary
- Attend one networking event per month
- Participate in Arpco Valves & Controls social media
- Identifying new business
- Implementing strategies to increase sales in designated territory.
Also, special projects that arise from time to time may be delegated to the Outside Sales Representative.
What you need to succeed at Arpco:
At a minimum, you will need:
- 2 years of outside sales experience a must
- Strong computer, typing and 10-key skills
- Strong attention to detail skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Previous experience with a CRM
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Availability to work overtime as needed
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
