Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct repairs involving electrical systems, mechanical components, plumbing, and HVAC units using schematics and technical manuals.
- Operate tools such as welders, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues accurately.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, plumbing repairs, and general upkeep of residential or commercial spaces.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks.
- Supervise or coordinate with contractors or team members during complex repairs or projects while maintaining safety standards.
- Support manufacturing or production environments by maintaining equipment uptime and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with schematics and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in electrical work, including troubleshooting circuits and wiring using tools like ohmmeters.
- Hands-on welding skills for metal fabrication and repair tasks.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and report issues clearly.
- Experience with facilities maintenance in residential or manufacturing settings, demonstrating versatility across different environments.
- Leadership or supervising experience to guide junior staff or coordinate maintenance activities efficiently.
