Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring quick and precise entry.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation practices.
- Support kitchen staff with food preparation or bussing tables during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow.
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements for maximum efficiency.
- Assist with host/hostess duties when needed, including managing waitlists and coordinating table turnover in a lively environment such as a nightclub or fine dining setting.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing purposes accurately.
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Open availability for evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
