Duties
- Assist with food preparation by washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients for cooking and plating
- Support cooking activities by preparing basic dishes under supervision and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards
- Help with food service tasks such as plating meals, setting up serving areas, and assisting servers as needed
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, knife skills, and sanitation to prevent contamination or accidents
- Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with meal assembly in a timely manner
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers according to health regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Experience working in restaurants or the food industry is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Strong knife skills and ability to assist with meal preparation efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
