We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Outside Sales Representative / Business Development employee to support the continued growth of our relocation and logistics platform. This role is responsible for generating new business, developing strategic partnerships, and managing key accounts across residential, commercial, and referral-based channels.
You will play a critical role in expanding our footprint by building relationships with real estate professionals, property managers, senior living communities, and commercial clients. This is a high-impact position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment and understands how to turn relationships into consistent revenue.
Duties
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, referral partnerships, and targeted outreach (real estate agents, senior living, property management, commercial clients)
- Build and manage a strong referral pipeline to generate consistent, high-quality leads
- Own and grow a designated territory through strategic relationship development and account management
- Conduct on-site and virtual estimates, consultations, and solution-based sales presentations tailored to client needs
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients and partners to drive repeat and referral business
- Negotiate pricing and contracts while maintaining margin discipline and aligning with company standards
- Track all leads, opportunities, and customer interactions within CRM (SmartMoving experience preferred)
- Collaborate with operations and marketing teams to ensure smooth job execution and alignment on growth initiatives
- Continuously identify market trends, partnership opportunities, and new revenue channels
Requirements
- Proven experience in outside sales, business development, or estimating (moving industry experience strongly preferred)
- Strong preference for candidates with:
- Moving and relocation sales or estimating experience
- Existing referral network (real estate, senior living, property management, etc.)
- Experience using SmartMoving CRM (or similar modern CRM platforms)
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, build relationships, and close deals in a direct sales environment
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage a territory independently and drive consistent pipeline growth
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment where execution matters
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and accountable with a strong ownership mentality
