Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support childhood development, including play-based learning and educational exercises.
- Supervise children during daily routines such as meals, naps, outdoor play, and classroom activities to ensure safety and engagement.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior guidance strategies.
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents while adhering to licensing standards.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address individual needs or concerns.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively.
