Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods
- Monitor patient vital signs, observe changes in health status, and document findings accurately in care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document medication administration meticulously
- Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition tailored to individual dietary needs
- Provide patient care by engaging in meaningful activities, assisting with community outings, and offering emotional support
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and ensuring infection control standards are met
- Respond promptly to emergency situations by applying first aid or CPR when necessary, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
Experience
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or dementia care experience is highly valued
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient monitoring, medication administration, and vital signs measurement in settings such as nursing homes or home health care
- Familiarity with care plans, assisted living procedures, hospice or geriatrics care enhances your ability to provide comprehensive support
- Experience working with residents who have Alzheimer's disease or memory care needs is a plus
- Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely using proper techniques and assist with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other transfer methods
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams
- Valid certifications in CPR and First Aid are required; additional certifications related to home & community care or heavy manual handling are advantageous

Position: Thursday, Friday, Every other Saturday and Sunday.
(Shifts are from 8am-4pm or 8am-8pm)
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
