Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and active participation among preschool-aged children.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to promote a safe and respectful learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with families, colleagues, and specialists to support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental progress and inform instructional strategies.
• Plan and execute engaging lessons that incorporate Montessori principles and other educational methodologies suitable for preschool learners.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and classroom activities in compliance with licensing requirements.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques tailored for preschool children.
• Proven ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including toddlers requiring specialized care or early intervention support.
• Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Familiarity with childcare regulations, daycare standards, and private school policies related to preschool education.
• Ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
