What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax and Registrations Manager position at Arora Engineers?
The Tax Manager will lead and manage all tax-related functions, including compliance, reporting, and strategic tax planning. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as proven leadership and communication skills. They will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the company remains compliant with all tax laws while identifying opportunities for tax savings.
Key responsibilities
Tax planning and strategy
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective tax strategies to optimize the Group's tax position.
- Provide expert tax advice and guidance to senior management on strategic business decisions, transactions, and initiatives.
- Conduct research and analysis of complex tax issues to identify opportunities for tax savings and efficient structuring.
Tax compliance and reporting
- Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all required tax returns, including federal, state, and local income, sales & use, property, and payroll taxes.
- Manage and facilitate tax audits, inquiries, and notices from various tax authorities, coordinating responses and providing necessary documentation.
- Review tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
Business License Registrations
- Oversee requirements to conduct business in States across the USA supported by CSC the Group's current external service for monitoring and filing requirements.
Team leadership and development
- Lead, mentor, and supervise tax team members, delegating projects and reviewing their work for accuracy and compliance.
- Promote professional growth within the team by providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Risk management and process improvement
- Monitor and analyze new and evolving tax legislation and regulations, communicating the potential impact to management and updating company policies as needed.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls over the tax process to minimize risk and ensure reporting accuracy.
- Streamline and improve tax processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree in Taxation would be advantageous
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required or highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in tax management, with a background in either corporate or public accounting.
- Proven experience managing a team and handling complex tax issues.
Technical and analytical skills
- Extensive knowledge of corporate tax law, compliance, and regulations.
- Experience with tax provisions and financial statement reporting standards, such as ASC 740.
- Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
- Proficiency with tax preparation software, financial reporting tools and ERP's, and Microsoft Excel.

Salary : $80,000 - $150,000
