Staff Accountant - Chadds Ford, PA

Job Description: This role is responsible for all accounting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis.  This role will be involved in the Year End Financial Audit and also participate in the FAR OH Audit.  The role reports directly to the Controller.  It is a hybrid position with three days in the office.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and enter all monthly journal entries
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Understand prepaid expenses and work with Account Payable to properly maintain
• Have an understanding of ASC 606 Revenue Recognition and be able to review projects and contracts for reporting accuracy
• Have an understanding of ASC 842 lease accounting and be able to maintain accurate accounting for all company leases
• Work closely with the Controller on month end processes
• Prepare monthly Financial Statements: income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements
• Heavy involvement in the year end financial audit
• Participate in the FAR OH Audit
• Help ensure all accounting policies are in accordance with GAAP
• Other tasks as needed

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
• CPA preferred
• 3 – 5 years of experience in corporate accounting required
• Experience working in a fast paced and high demand environment required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience in Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantagepoint preferred
• In possession of appropriate documentation to legally gain and maintain employment in the US.
