Aroostook Trusses, Inc. is looking for a Mechanic to join our team in
Presque Isle, Maine. This role will perform a variety of duties,
including inspection, servicing, and maintaining a fleet of trucks,
passenger vehicles, trailers, hydraulics and support equipment used
throughout a manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a
strong mechanical background and be comfortable working in a fast-paced,
industrial setting. Employee must be able to work independently, but
also contribute and cooperate well on team-based projects.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on trucks and
industrial equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
Clean, lubricate and service vehicles per manufacturer and company
standards.
Support diagnostic efforts and collaborate with other mechanics on
complex repairs.
Track and report damaged or faulty equipment.
Request replacement parts as needed.
Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized work
area.
Perform other relevant duties as requested.
A high school diploma or equivalent education is required, as well as
two or more years of experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic or
similar role. Formal mechanical education, training, and/or ASE
certification strongly preferred. Must have a valid drivers license with
a clean driving record, strong communication skills and the ability to
work well independently and within a team. Must be able to pass a
