What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Day Coordinator position at Aroostook Agency on Aging?
Are you compassionate, driven, and ready to make a real difference in the lives of older adults and their families? The Aroostook Agency on Aging is seeking a Full-Time Adult Day Respite Services Coordinator to lead and coordinate our social-model Adult Day Program.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily operations of our adult day program and ensure a safe, supportive environment.
- Collaborate with staff to plan and implement engaging, person-centered activities.
- Support and mentor staff and volunteers to provide high-quality care for participants with dementia and other conditions.
- Work closely with participants, families, and community partners to provide exceptional care and support.
- Maintain program records, quality standards, and compliance with regulations.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A heart for older adults and caregivers, with at least 3 years’ experience working directly with people with dementia or similar populations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Associate’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).

Starting pay range is $23.56-$27.0 per hour depending on experience. Position will remain open until the right applicant is found.
